VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit Studio Photo version 3.6.6.916
Description The issue is related to the handling of PSD files and results from the lack of proper initialization of a pointer prior to accessing it. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. An attacker can leverage this to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit Studio Photo version 3.6.6.916, consider avoiding the use of PSD files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the PSD file parsing functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
