Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation by the web-based management interface, allowing an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This could enable the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive browser-based information. The vulnerability can be exploited by inserting malicious data in a specific data field in the interface.
Recommendations
For Cisco TelePresence Management Suite, ensure proper input validation is in place for the web-based management interface to prevent cross-site scripting attacks.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web-based management interface until a patch is available.
Avoid inserting unvalidated data into specific fields in the interface to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
