CVE-2020-6396

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 80.0.3987.87
Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Skia graphics library used by Google Chrome. It allows a remote attacker to potentially gain unauthorized access to information and compromise its integrity by using a specially crafted HTML page. The vulnerability can also be exploited to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar).
Recommendations For versions prior to 80.0.3987.87, update to version 80.0.3987.87 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially malicious HTML pages to minimize the risk of exploitation.
