CVE-2020-2817

CVSS v3.1

8.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Oracle Scripting component of Oracle E-Business Suite. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Scripting, potentially leading to unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Scripting accessible data. The attacker may also gain unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle Scripting's accessible data. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker.
Recommendations For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, consider restricting access to the Oracle Scripting component via HTTP to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of sensitive data within Oracle Scripting to reduce the potential impact of unauthorized access. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
