CVSS v3.1
4.7
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:N/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle iSupport versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3
Oracle iSupport versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.8
Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the User Interface component of Oracle iSupport, allowing a remote attacker to modify, add, or delete data using the HTTP protocol. The vulnerability can be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker with network access, but successful attacks require human interaction from someone other than the attacker. This issue may have a significant impact on additional products and can result in unauthorized access to modify, insert, or delete some of Oracle iSupport's accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.8, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the User Interface component until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the HTTP protocol to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
Improper Access Control
