Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Project Manager component of the Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management product. It allows a low-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. The attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 16.2.0.0 through 16.2.19.3, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 17.12.0.0 through 17.12.17.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 18.8.0.0 through 18.8.18.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 19.12.1.0 through 19.12.3.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 20.1.0.0 through 20.2.0.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Project Manager component until a patch is available.
