CVE-2020-2841

CVSS v3.1

8.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle Knowledge Management versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3
Description The issue is related to insufficient access controls in the Setup and Admin components of Oracle Knowledge Management. It can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information via the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require human interaction and can significantly impact additional products, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to critical data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data.
Recommendations For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, consider restricting access to the Setup and Admin components until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for accessing Oracle Knowledge Management to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable components for sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
