CVE-2020-2768

CVSS v2.0

7.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:N/I:P/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle MySQL Cluster versions 7.3.28 and prior Oracle MySQL Cluster versions 7.4.27 and prior Oracle MySQL Cluster versions 7.5.17 and prior Oracle MySQL Cluster versions 7.6.13 and prior Oracle MySQL Cluster versions 8.0.19 and prior
Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the MySQL Cluster product, allowing a low-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Cluster. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of MySQL Cluster, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of MySQL Cluster's accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 7.3.28 and prior, update to a version later than 7.3.28 to resolve the issue. For versions 7.4.27 and prior, update to a version later than 7.4.27 to resolve the issue. For versions 7.5.17 and prior, update to a version later than 7.5.17 to resolve the issue. For versions 7.6.13 and prior, update to a version later than 7.6.13 to resolve the issue. For versions 8.0.19 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.19 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Cluster: General component until a patch is available.
