CVE-2020-3334

CVSS v3.1

7.4

High

VectorAV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance versions (affected versions not specified) Cisco Firepower Threat Defense versions (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the incorrect processing of ARP packets, which could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause an affected device to reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. An attacker could exploit this by sending a series of unicast ARP packets in a short timeframe to the management interface of an affected device, consuming resources and preventing the device from sending internal system keepalives.
Recommendations For Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance, consider restricting access to the management interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. For Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, avoid using the management interface for ARP packet processing until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
