CVE-2020-2899

CVSS v2.0

4.9

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Purchasing version 9.2
Description The issue is related to insufficient access controls in the Purchasing component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Purchasing. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information via the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require human interaction and can significantly impact additional products, resulting in unauthorized access to update, insert, or delete data, as well as read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations For version 9.2, consider restricting access to the Purchasing component to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for sensitive operations. Ensure that all users with access to the PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Purchasing product have the least privileges necessary to perform their tasks, reducing the potential impact of a successful attack.
