Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Security: Privileges subsystem. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the MySQL Protocol. The vulnerability allows a high-privileged attacker with network access to compromise the MySQL Server, potentially resulting in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the server.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 8.0.18 and prior, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
