MySQL Server version 8.0.19
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Charsets component. Successful attacks can result in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations
For version 8.0.19, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent exploitation.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation.
