Description
The issue is related to a buffer error vulnerability in Adobe Acrobat and Reader. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution. This can be achieved by a remote attacker using a specially crafted PDF file, allowing them to execute code in the context of the current user.
Recommendations
For versions 2020.006.20042 and earlier, update to a version later than 2020.006.20042 to resolve the issue.
For versions 2017.011.30166 and earlier, update to a version later than 2017.011.30166 to resolve the issue.
For version 2015.006.30518 and earlier, update to a version later than 2015.006.30518 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of specially crafted PDF files that could exploit the buffer error vulnerability until a patch is available.
