Description A cross-site scripting issue exists due to improper sanitization of specially crafted web requests. This could allow an authenticated attacker to perform cross-site scripting attacks, read unauthorized content, use the victim's identity to take actions on the SharePoint site, and inject malicious content into the user's browser.
Recommendations For Microsoft SharePoint Server, consider restricting access to sensitive areas of the site until a fix is available. For Microsoft SharePoint Foundation, avoid using specially crafted web requests until the issue is resolved. For Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise Server, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling scripts that may be used to exploit this issue until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
