Description
The issue is related to the xfs agf verify function in the XFS file system of the Linux kernel, which is associated with incorrect input validation. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service by synchronizing a specially crafted file with metadata from a mounted XFS system. Attackers can trigger a sync of excessive duration via an XFS v5 image with crafted metadata.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions through 5.6.10, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
