| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Enterprise Communications Broker versions 3.0.0 through 3.2.0
Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the WebGUI component of Oracle Enterprise Communications Broker, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction and can result in unauthorized access to data, including update, insert, or delete access to some data and read access to a subset of data. Additionally, attacks can cause a partial denial of service. The impact of successful attacks may extend beyond Oracle Enterprise Communications Broker.
Recommendations
For versions 3.0.0 through 3.2.0, consider restricting access to the WebGUI component until a fix is available, and ensure that all inputs are thoroughly validated to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limit the ability of remote attackers to interact with the system via HTTP. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
