CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle WebLogic Server versions 12.1.3.0.0 through 12.2.1.4.0 Oracle WebLogic Server version 14.1.1.0.0
Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Sample apps component of Oracle WebLogic Server, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the server. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle WebLogic Server's accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of the server's accessible data.
Recommendations For Oracle WebLogic Server versions 12.1.3.0.0 through 12.2.1.4.0, consider disabling the Sample apps component until a patch is available. For Oracle WebLogic Server version 14.1.1.0.0, consider restricting access to the Sample apps component to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
