CVE-2020-6461

CVSS v3.1

9.6

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 81.0.4044.129
Description The issue is related to a use after free in storage, which could allow a remote attacker who has compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape. This can be achieved via a crafted HTML page. The exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to access confidential data, compromise data integrity, and cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 81.0.4044.129, update to version 81.0.4044.129 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially malicious HTML pages to minimize the risk of exploitation.
