CVE-2020-14347

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Xorg-server versions prior to 1.20.9
Description A flaw was found in the way xserver memory was not properly initialized, which could leak parts of server memory to the X client. In cases where the Xorg server runs with elevated privileges, this could result in a possible ASLR bypass.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.20.9, update to version 1.20.9 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider running the Xorg server with reduced privileges to minimize the risk of exploitation.
