Description
An elevation of privilege issue exists due to the Windows Kernel API's improper handling of registry objects in memory. This could allow a locally authenticated attacker to gain elevated privileges on a targeted system by running a specially crafted application. The security update addresses this issue by ensuring the Windows Kernel API properly handles objects in memory.
