Description:
The issue is related to an elevation of privilege vulnerability that exists when the Windows Function Discovery SSDP Provider improperly handles memory. To exploit this, an attacker would first need to gain execution on the victim system and then run a specially crafted application to elevate privileges. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow issue in memory, which can be exploited by an attacker using a specially crafted application to increase their privileges.
