| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Intel Server Boards, Server Systems and Compute Modules versions prior to 1.59
Description:
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the subsystem for some Intel Server Boards, Server Systems, and Compute Modules. This buffer overflow is due to a lack of input size validation, which may allow a privileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. The exploitation of this issue could allow an attacker to elevate their privileges.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 1.59, update to version 1.59 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting local access to the subsystem to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
