CVE-2020-3463
CVSS v2.0
6.4
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Cisco Webex Meetings (affected versions not specified)
Description:
The issue is related to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the web-based management interface, which could allow a remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This could be achieved by persuading a user to click a malicious link, potentially allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive browser-based information.
Recommendations:
For Cisco Webex Meetings, consider implementing additional validation for user-supplied input to the web-based management interface as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the web-based management interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using links from untrusted sources to prevent potential XSS attacks. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
