Description:
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco UCS Director could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with administrative credentials to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface. The issue exists due to the interface's failure to properly validate input. An attacker could exploit this by inserting malicious data into a specific data field, potentially allowing the execution of arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access to sensitive, browser-based information.
Recommendations:
To resolve the issue, update the Cisco UCS Director to a version that properly validates input in the web-based management interface.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
