CVE-2020-6494

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Google Chrome versions prior to 83.0.4103.97
Description: The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the user interface of Google Chrome, allowing a remote attacker to impact the integrity of protected information. Specifically, it involves incorrect security UI in payments on Google Chrome for Android, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page.
Recommendations: For versions prior to 83.0.4103.97, update to version 83.0.4103.97 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to payment features in Google Chrome on Android until the update is applied.
