Description:
The issue is related to the handling of certain files by Microsoft Office Click-to-Run (C2R) AppVLP, which can lead to an elevation of privilege. An attacker would need to convince a user to open a specially crafted file to exploit this issue. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow in memory, which can allow an attacker to elevate privileges using a specially crafted file.
