Description: The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Oracle Applications Manager component of Oracle E-Business Suite. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information or to modify, add, or delete data using the HTTP protocol. The vulnerability can be easily exploited and allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access to compromise Oracle Applications Manager, resulting in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of the data.

Recommendations: For versions 12.1.3, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.7, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Oracle Applications Manager component until a patch is available.
