Description
A vulnerability in the SSL/TLS session handler could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The issue is due to a memory leak when closing SSL/TLS connections in a specific state. An attacker could exploit this by establishing several SSL/TLS sessions and closing them under certain conditions, exhausting memory resources and preventing the device from processing new SSL/TLS connections.

For Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software, manual intervention is required to recover an affected device.
For Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software, manual intervention is required to recover an affected device.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
