Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the WebConnect component of Oracle Hospitality Suite8, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data.

Recommendations For versions 8.10.2 and 8.11 through 8.14, consider restricting access to the WebConnect component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the WebConnect component for sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. Restrict network access via HTTP to minimize the risk of exploitation.
