Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Optimizer subsystem. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, resulting in the ability to hang or crash the MySQL Server. The vulnerability can be exploited via multiple protocols, allowing a high-privileged attacker with network access to compromise the server.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 8.0.21 and prior, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
