High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Animate versions 20.5 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in memory, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a crafted .fla file in Animate.
Recommendations
For Adobe Animate versions 20.5 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of crafted .fla files in Animate until a patch is available. Restrict access to untrusted .fla files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
