CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools versions 8.56 through 8.58
Description: The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Integration Broker component. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools, requiring human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools' accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools' accessible data.
Recommendations: For versions 8.56, 8.57, and 8.58, consider restricting access to the Integration Broker component to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, consider implementing additional input validation measures for the Integration Broker component to reduce the risk of unauthorized data access. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
