Description:
The issue is related to improper buffer restrictions in the Intel Stratix 10 FPGA firmware. This may allow an unauthenticated user with physical access to potentially enable escalation of privilege and/or information disclosure. The vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow in memory, which can be exploited to disclose protected information or elevate privileges.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 20.1, update to version 20.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting physical access to the system to minimize the risk of exploitation.
