Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Intel(R) Quartus(R) Prime Pro software versions prior to 20.2
Description:
The issue is caused by improper buffer restrictions in the Intel(R) Stratix(R) 10 FPGA firmware, which may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via physical access. This could potentially be exploited by an attacker to gain elevated privileges.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 20.2, update to version 20.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting physical access to the system to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
