Description:
The issue is related to incorrect default permissions in the Intel(R) Board ID Tool, which may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. This is due to errors in using standard permissions. The exploitation of this issue can allow an attacker to elevate their privileges.
Recommendations:
For Intel(R) Board ID Tool version v.1.01, update the permissions to the correct settings to prevent potential privilege escalation.
