Description The issue is related to a race condition between coredump operations and the IORING OP MADVISE implementation in the do madvise function of the Linux kernel. This condition may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 5.6.8, update to version 5.6.8 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the IORING OP MADVISE implementation until a patch is available.
