CVE-2020-26088

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 5.8.2
Description The issue is related to a missing CAP NET RAW check in NFC socket creation in the Linux kernel. This could allow local attackers to create raw sockets, bypassing security mechanisms.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 5.8.2, update to version 5.8.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the net/nfc/rawsock.c function to minimize the risk of exploitation.
