Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in LuaJit, caused by mishandled gc handler frame traversal. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The problem is also associated with the
finderrfunc function in the src/lj err.c file of the LuaJIT compiler, which is related to reading beyond the permissible boundaries of a data buffer.Recommendations
For LuaJit versions 2.1.0-beta3 and earlier, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
