CVE-2020-15973

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Google Chrome versions prior to 86.0.4240.75
Description: The issue is related to insufficient policy enforcement in extensions, allowing a remote attacker to impact data integrity by convincing a user to install a malicious extension. This can lead to bypassing the same origin policy via a crafted Chrome Extension.
Recommendations: For versions prior to 86.0.4240.75, update to version 86.0.4240.75 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to only trusted sources until the update is applied.
