Description:
The issue is related to the incorrect handling of deserialization requests in the wp-includes/Requests/Utility/FilteredIterator.php component of the WordPress content management system. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise its integrity, and cause a denial of service.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 5.5.2, update to version 5.5.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the wp-includes/Requests/Utility/FilteredIterator.php component until a patch is applied.
