Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions libwebp versions prior to 1.0.1
Description A flaw was found in libwebp due to a use-after-free caused by a thread being killed too early. The highest threat from this issue is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability. Exploitation of the flaw may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code by creating a specially crafted file.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.0.1, update to version 1.0.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of libwebp until a patch is applied.
