CVE-2020-11764

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OpenEXR versions prior to 2.4.1
Description An issue in OpenEXR is related to an out-of-bounds write in the copyIntoFrameBuffer function in ImfMisc.cpp. This can potentially allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.4.1, update to version 2.4.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the copyIntoFrameBuffer function in ImfMisc.cpp until a patch is available.
