CVE-2021-21185

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 89.0.4389.72
Description The issue is related to insufficient policy enforcement in extensions, allowing an attacker who convinces a user to install a malicious extension to obtain sensitive information via a crafted Chrome Extension. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain access to confidential information.
Recommendations For versions prior to 89.0.4389.72, update to version 89.0.4389.72 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to only trusted sources until the update is applied.
