VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Lrzip version 0.631
Description The issue is related to a use after free in the lzma decompress buf function in stream.c, which can be exploited by attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted compressed file. This can allow a remote attacker to disrupt service using a specially crafted compressed file.
Recommendations For Lrzip version 0.631, consider avoiding the use of the lzma decompress buf function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the processing of compressed files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
