CVE-2021-32271

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions gpac versions prior to 20200801
Description The issue is related to a stack-buffer-overflow in the DumpRawUIConfig function located in the odf dump.c file of the GPAC multimedia platform. This allows a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise its integrity, and cause a denial of service. The vulnerability also enables an attacker to cause code execution.
Recommendations For gpac versions prior to 20200801, consider disabling the DumpRawUIConfig function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the odf dump.c file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
