CVSS v2.0

9.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Samba (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Samba package, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise data integrity, and cause a denial of service. Kerberos acceptors require easy access to stable AD identifiers, such as objectSid, and Samba as an AD DC provides a way for Linux applications to obtain a reliable SID and samAccountName in issued tickets.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
