CVE-2020-12424

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Firefox versions prior to 78
Description The issue is related to the construction of a permission prompt for WebRTC, where an untrusted URI from the content process could bypass the prompt if it was the URI of an origin previously granted permission. This could allow a remote attacker to bypass existing security restrictions.
Recommendations For Firefox versions prior to 78, update to version 78 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to WebRTC functionality until a patch is available.
