Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
virglrenderer versions 0.8.1 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a NULL pointer dereference in the
vrend renderer.c component of the virtual OpenGL renderer Virglrenderer. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service via commands that attempt to launch a grid without previously providing a Compute Shader (CS).Recommendations
For virglrenderer versions 0.8.1 and earlier, consider disabling the
vrend renderer.c component or restricting its use until a patch is available to prevent potential denial of service attacks.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.DoS
