CVE-2020-8003

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions virglrenderer versions 0.8.1 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a double-free vulnerability in the vrend renderer.c component of the virtual OpenGL renderer Virglrenderer. This vulnerability can be exploited to cause a denial of service by triggering texture allocation failure, as the function vrend renderer resource allocated texture is not an appropriate place for a free.
Recommendations For virglrenderer versions 0.8.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 0.8.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vrend renderer resource allocated texture function to minimize the risk of exploitation.
