| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Apache Shiro versions prior to 1.7.0
Description
The issue is related to an authentication bypass when Apache Shiro is used with Spring. A specially crafted HTTP request may cause this bypass, potentially allowing a remote attacker to exploit the vulnerability. This could lead to the upload of a specially crafted malicious file.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.7.0, update to version 1.7.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive areas of the application that rely on Apache Shiro for authentication until the update can be applied.
